Pastel and Pines
Long still summer evenings by the sea, a soft warmth that lingers for
hours beyond smokey pastel hues now imperceptually slipping to dark.
Squawks from afar slide across the waters as the divers settle for the
night in the old man pines, splash and beating rapid as the last of
them launches to sky then to roost. You can see them with your ears but
eyes are deadened somewhat by distance and early dark against the
pastel palette of the sky.

Reflective moment tween water and sky

Well at least the bird knew what was up
Viewpoint is all it seems in a world which likely little cares that
this or that be so. What truth with which to side or slide, if that be
asked, any will do at a pinch for is not just to fix a place in which
to be for fear that boundaries might fail and show to us a bigger self
not often seen.

Springtime

Tints of texture
Just one of those spaces that catch the eye.
A scene quite fixed and final in many ways, kept safe inside while just
beyond the window there, a wider world not so fixed, hinted at through
the glass, stems and flowers that grow and dream in shades of life
within the green.

Morning Rose
First
flush of colour in the crispness of the morn and crisp I do mean with
everything a crunch underfoot. As the night reverses itself into
salmon tints of a day to be. The shiver not so much a concern once
touched with a Rose tinted day.

Phoebe
There is a tail to this but not for now, carved in whalebone she be.

Following the sun
The western shore in an evening light, the waters a slow surge
at the rivers mouth as fresh rolls over the sea in an oily slide with
just the suck and surge into the rocks a hint of what might be.
